Kindly note that we do require proof of certification. We can look up certifications with a couple agencies, however, it is best to bring along your certification card. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate divers without proof of certification. For divers doing their certification dives, please don’t forget to bring your Referral Form or signed logbook along with your completed medical questionnaire and any other paperwork necessary to complete the certification course. Should you have any pre-existing medical conditions, kindly bring a medical release signed and sealed by your doctor. Safety is our top priority, please note that Amigos Del Mar reserves the right to cancel your dive trip if we consider that you are not in good physical or mental condition.
For ALL diving activities, by signing up, you acknowledge that all divers on this trip are certified and have a logged dive within the past 2 years – if it has been more than 2 years, we do require you to sign up for a refresher course. By signing up for the Blue Hole/Lighthouse Reef Atoll Day Trip, you acknowledge that all divers are certified Open Water Diver/s (or above) and have a recently logged dive within the past 6 months. If it has been more than 6 months since the last dive you will not be able to dive the Blue Hole site. You do have the option of signing up for local activities before doing this trip, in order to dive the first site which is the Blue Hole itself.
As part of helping preserve our national parks, all international visitors must pay an entry fee. Park Fees are as follows for the following activities and MUST BE PAID IN CASH: ½ Day Snorkel for Hol Chan/Mexico Rocks is US$10, Full Day Caye Caulker Snorkel is US$10, and the Blue Hole Full Day Trip (Snorkel/Dive) is US$40 (US$30 for Blue Hole National Monument & US$10 for Half Moon Caye).
We kindly ask that once on Ambergris Caye, you stop by our dive shop to fill out the necessary paperwork, if any, and that you check in to reconfirm if activities will be heading out for the scheduled day or if there is a need to shuffle days or reschedule. Please note that by making a reservation it does not automatically confirm a trip as most of our activities do require a minimum of 4 or more to confirm. In the case of the Blue Hole/Lighthouse Reef Atoll Day Trip or our Turneffe Atoll Day Trip, we do require a minimum of 10. We understand that chosen dates are of preference and we will not shuffle them without your permission, however, we do ask that our customers try and work with us as much as they can so that we can get all your activities confirmed.
As much as we try, some situations may be beyond our control. Kindly note that Amigos Del Mar Ltd. reserves the right to cancel all dive trips at any given time due to weather conditions, the minimum number of divers not being met or any other unforeseen circumstances without any charge, that may prevent us from keeping you safe while doing any activities with us or providing you with the best service possible.
For group/charter/ packages cancellations, we require ALL groups of 5 or more/ANY charter/packages must cancel 3 days before the tour. Cancellations done any time after will result in full charges.
